Brenna is a tattoo artist who met Jason "through music." She reached out to us about her wedding featuring giant sculptures and live bands that would be playing into the wee hours of the morning. She asked for something artsy and eccentric, and offered us one of the unique cabins at Vermont's charming and cozy Shéady Acres. This wedding was more like a festival, with the kind of radiant and adventurous spirit you can easily pick up from these two people.
With the help of family and friends, Brenna and Jason handled all of their own florals and decor. They picked purple for the dresses, the ties, and the smoke bombs (yes, smoke bombs). Brenna found a two-piece wedding dress, crystals for her hair, and parasols for the bridesmaids - plus lots of other little surprise details throughout.
For their simple ceremony on the grass, Jason's oldest daughter officiated the wedding (barefoot) while their three younger children stood by their sides. After a couple of hours of partying on the lawn, we whisked them away for a few more photos at dusk, and Jason was STILL overwhelmed with happiness every time he looked at Brenna. The rest of the night featured dinner, drinks, musical performances, and a live, hand-crafted psychedelic analog light show.
Thank you Brenna and Jason for feeding our souls by having us capture your one-of-a-kind event!
Venue: Shéady Acres (Montgomery, VT) / Dress: Lillian West / Liquid light show: Heavy Light
