“We met online playing World of Warcraft. We were online friends (messaging, voice chat, social media) for about a year before a mutual friend convinced us to meet in real life. Phil flew to Iowa to meet Mallory, and we knew almost instantly that we had met our partner. For several months, we flew back and forth bi-weekly to see one another. May 20, 2016, while Mallory was visiting Massachusetts, Phil took her to Tower Hill Botanical Garden and proposed under a Red Oak Tree.”
We fell in love with Mal and Phil’s story, and of course their relaxed, rustic selection of a wedding venue (where we got married in 2008). These two lovebirds were laughing their whole day - except for the moment when Mallory walked down the aisle and made Phil cry! It was the perfect day and setting for a beautiful hilltop ceremony followed by a mouth-watering dinner from Pennypacker’s - and the cupcakes looked so good, we caught Mal sneaking one to her table early.
We are so grateful to have been a part of this day that felt magical from beginning to end! Congrats to Mal and Phil!
