I swooned over: The venue! The historic Vanderbilt House was originally built in the 1860’s as a railroad hotel and still has the vibe of a chic getaway space on the edge of nature. The bones have been preserved but the styling feels fresh, with beautifully curated vintage decor and organic elements throughout. After this wedding, I started drying my own flowers and filling my home with them.
My favorite detail: The wooden drink stirrers that were custom-stamped with their cats faces!
I’ll never forget: Maureen’s smile and the level of loving support shown from every member of their families!
I was inspired by: The color palette, especially the way it was represented in the florals: romantic, dreamy, autumn, and still a bit wild. Maureen’s bouquet had a life of its own but didn’t take away from the beauty of her gown and veil. It all just fit together perfectly.
Congrats to Maureen and Jerry!
