Pauline and Hannah had to move their big party to 2021 due to the pandemic, so rather than skipping their vows this year they decided to visit their favorite local park for a pond-side elopement. With their best friend present to officiate and their dog dressed for the occasion to make it truly official, we followed a short path to a quiet pond. In this beautiful secluded space, they exchanged rings, vows, and poetry as the sunlight turned gold. With a nod to their shared hobby of roller derby, they made the visit complete with a “first skate” together as a married couple before heading home for a virtual celebration. This was our first day “back to work” after the world as we know it completely turned upside down. It was such a beautiful reminder that a wedding can be whatever you want it to be- and nothing can stop the ritual of saying how we feel. It felt so special to be a part of this and to be reminded why we love what we do.
