“Our story began in the summer of 2010, a few years before we even met.”

Nick had just moved back to Chicago from Breckenridge, and Morgan would soon move to Breckenridge after graduating college. Morgan took Nick's place on the soccer team, and their paths could have missed each other completely- but their teammates made sure this missed connection would not remain that way. In November 2012, Nick took a trip out to Colorado and met up with his old team for an indoor soccer game in Denver. Due to their shyness and anticipation, Morgan and Nick barely exchanged words the night they were finally introduced. They did, however, exchange glances at the end of the night.. and that moment would lead to 5 years of dating, adventures, and moving across the country. Nick proposed on 1/1/18 - first thing in the morning, he gave her a children's book that he had written about their love story. Morgan did not know she was getting proposed to until the end when she read, "Will you marry me?!" and Nick was down on one knee!

We already knew from our previous visit to Sheady Acres that this would be a laid back summer event surrounded by gorgeous scenery. What we didn’t know was how warmly we would be welcomed and instantly we would be adopted into Nick and Morgan’s circle of friends. They somehow managed to make us feel like part of the family while living up EVERY moment of their day- our walks around the property in the afternoon and at sunset were blast, and they made sure to drink all the drinks, play all the games, and live up every song performed by Josh Panda and his band.
