Berkshire Botanical Garden Wedding & Skate Party
We met Dennis, known to us as “Crazy Legs,” at Interskate 91 North, a roller rink where he taught freestyle slalom. This is also where he met Rachel. Rachel would bring her friends to watch “nice butt guy” skate on cones. Dennis would admire the pretty college girls watching him skate. Eventually they were officially introduced by a mutual friend. When Dennis knew he wanted to roll their love into the next level, he took Rachel to a “Contra Prom” at their favorite place to go dancing. He planned the entire day before, taking Rachel skating and out to dinner at their usual anniversary restaurant. He had the band at the prom learn one of their favorite waltzes to play before the first rest break. They waltzed, and then Dennis proposed. He had her engagement ring (and later their wedding bands) custom made from a mold and cast of wheel bearings! We were so excited to spend the day capturing these memories and this beautiful day they put together for their family & friends, which included a “release the butterflies” moment (a nod to Rachel’s job at a butterfly sanctuary) and some celebratory skating on the dance floor by Dennis and his talented son Jack.
Congrats Dennis and Rachel, and thank you for choosing us to capture your big day!
