What we're up to lately...
It’s so great meeting local couples and bringing them to one of my favorite spots for enjoying the beauty of Western Mass. Ami and Dom were adorable and were game for every suggestion I came up with. Can’t wait to celebrate with them next year!
My favorite detail: Not only did Bessie illustrate so many of the signs and labels throughout, but I received a thank you card with an original sticker sheet with Bessie’s character creations
I’ll never forget: How sweet and laid back this pair and their crew were, the whole day through.. just enjoying every minute with everyone that showed up
I swooned over: The way this family property was transformed into a magical boho event space, from the vintage furniture and rugs to the enormous grassy floral arrangements leading the way for guests to enjoy their drinks, smokes, dancing under the tent or a walk around the pond. This was my second wedding at this home (nicknamed “Whiskey Rock”) and it has only gotten more enjoyable over time
My favorite detail: It’s a tie between her bouquet featuring amaranth and wispy grass, and the lacy sleeves on Amanda’s dress. The two were such a gorgeous pairing
I’ll never forget: The “NBA Fashion Fits” style walk to the barn that the guys did before changing into their suits
I swooned over: Tess’s show-stopping, colorful embroidered veil
My favorite detail: Old wedding photos from their family members were framed and on display
I’ll never forget: How this crowd knows how to PARTY
I swooned over: The fact that the ceremony was literally on top of a mountain- everyone took gondola rides to the peak and the view was absolutely stunning!
My favorite detail: The Ben & Jerry’s ice cream cart
I swooned over: The gorgeous peachy-pink floral installation at their ceremony site and how the sun glimmered through it so perfectly as they read their vows to each other
My favorite detail: Alex’s stunning long-sleeved gown and how she wore it so perfectly
I’ll never forget: Alex and John’s sweet love and support for one another, which I got to witness at their wedding day as well as their engagement session
I swooned over: Their festival theme and how well Hayley pulled it off! They kicked off the weekend with a welcome party at the Liberty Farms glamping site Friday night, and on Saturday the farm was transformed with vibrant handprinted signs, a flower crown making station, and seeing the groomsmen walk into the wooded ceremony site in their sandals topped off the fun and relaxed vibe of the weekend.
I swooned over: The elegant simplicity in Esther’s look
My favorite detail: Esther’s mother’s traditional dress
I’ll never forget: How peaceful and intentional the day felt
I swooned over: How I felt like I was in a movie! This farm has been active since 1791. In every direction there’s a view: big barns, apple orchards, stone walls built using multiple historic techniques, and a backdrop of the Green Mountains. There is so much to see that you can take a self-guided historical walking tour or do an architectural scavenger hunt. I brought some vintage umbrellas for the bridal party during a drizzly group photo and they worked perfectly!
I have lived in Western MA for 14 years now, and I still have to just stop and stare when I visit certain parts of the Quabbin Reservoir in Ware. I’m always so excited when my couples are willing to meet me out there, sort of in the middle of nowhere, to soak in the views and make some pretty memories. When I look back on these portraits of Alex and John, I truly feel like they had a good time and that makes me pretty happy.
I swooned over: The way both brides looked like magical autumn fairies
My favorite detail: The velvet worn by the wedding party
I’ll never forget: Discovering Waveny House and seeing it fill up with so many happy faces!
